Our 100% track record in all our projects with hole watchers speaks for itself. You can trust our team to always provide the correct advice which is right for your business.

Hole watchers (vessel entry controllers) are relevant for any number of industries that require staff or contractors to work within confined spaces. Some of these industries include:

  • Farming
  • Oil industry
  • Gas industry
  • Mining operations
  • Utility sector

At FIT we have achieved ISO 45001 compliance alongside SafeContractor and Achilles UVDB Silver Plus to provide the utmost confidence in our services.

When accessing vessel entry in a confined space, a competent hole watcher must always be in place. This role is crucial to the safety of the project as the hole watcher provides:

  • Line of sight support
  • Cover for the confined space entrants.
  • Monitor toxic fumes and exhaust gasses
  • Monitor levels of combustible gasses
  • Assess entrapment risks during the progress of the works
  • Regular communication with the confined space entrants
  • Raise the alarm and initiate evacuation procedures

First intervention team can supply fully trained experienced hole watchers to support confined space work. For high risk projects or for multiple entry, we can supply a confined space controller. A confined space controller has all the training of a hole watcher including how to provide management and oversight of confined space works safely. Keeping your personnel and our team safe is non-negotiable. You can always trust FIT to make the right decisions and provide the right support so your operation runs smoothly.
