Fire Extinguisher Training Course.

CONCEPT.

A course designed to meet requirements under the Fire Reform Order October 2005.

AIM.

To enable the delegate, by completion of the course, to demonstrate knowledge of fire safety awareness and how to extinguish different classifications of fire with the use of appropriate extinguishers.

OBJECTIVES.

By completion of the course, the student will be able to demonstrate:-

    • Knowledge of the chemistry and theory of combustion
    • Knowledge of the classification of fires
    • Practical use of Extinguishers
    • Knowledge of types and correct use of extinguishers and extinguishing mediums
    • Assessing fire risks, spotting and reporting hazards
    • Knowledge of the correct procedures in the event of fire
    • Evacuation Procedures

DURATION – 3-4 Hours.

Fire Extinguisher Training can be delivered at your premises, however, additional costs may apply.

For up to 12 delegates.

The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, requires that the responsible person must, where necessary, ‘take measures for fire fighting in the premises’ and ‘nominate competent persons to implement those measures and ensure their training and the equipment available to them are adequate’. It is important that anyone expected to tackle a fire should be trained, the implications if anyone is injured and has not been trained are obvious.
